Written in
plain English

By placing an order with Castle Jewellery Ltd you agree to these Terms. They don't limit your rights — they complement them. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain fully intact and unaffected.

2
Clause Two Returns & Refund Policy
Non-Customised Items

You may return non-customised items for a full refund within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unworn, in its original condition and original packaging. This is in addition to any statutory cancellation rights you hold.

Customised & Bespoke Items

Custom-made or personalised rings are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off right under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, as they are made to your personal specification.

Important: Even though the cooling-off period does not apply to custom items, your statutory rights regarding faulty or misdescribed goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain fully in force. If a custom ring is defective or does not match its description, you are still entitled to a remedy.

How to Return

To initiate a return, please contact us at sales@castle-jewellery.com or call 07353 306 767 with your invoice number. We will arrange collection or advise on return postage.

3
Clause Three Shipping & Delivery
  • Hand delivery — available within approximately a 2-hour drive of Mow Cop (ST7 3PA), at no extra cost.
  • Tracked Royal Mail — included in the price for all other UK addresses.
  • Delivery timescales — agreed at the point of order confirmation.

Our responsibility to you: Castle Jewellery Ltd remains responsible for ensuring your order is delivered safely. While we are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control once dispatched on time, we will always work promptly to resolve any delivery issues on your behalf.

4
Clause Four Warranty

Our full Warranty Policy is available at castle-jewellery.com/warranty. In summary:

  • Black Tungsten Rings — Lifetime warranty: up to two free replacement rings, for any reason, at any time.
  • All Other Materials (titanium, silver, gold, platinum) — 12-month manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.

All warranties are offered in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They do not limit or replace those rights.

5
Clause Five Payment Terms
Accepted Payment Methods
  • Square invoice — secure online payment link sent by email
  • Finance — arranged through a regulated third-party lender (subject to eligibility and the lender's own terms)
  • Cash — accepted at home consultations
Deposit & Final Payment
  • A 50% deposit is required at the time of order
  • The remaining 50% is due upon delivery
  • Full upfront payment is also accepted
  • A receipt is provided after each payment

Finance note: Castle Jewellery Ltd is not a lender or financial advisor. Finance options are provided by a regulated third-party provider. Eligibility, interest rates, and terms are subject to that provider's criteria.

6
Clause Six Cancellations & Order Changes
Non-Customised Orders

You may cancel a non-customised order at any time before dispatch for a full refund, including the deposit.

Customised & Bespoke Orders

Where production of your custom order has not yet commenced, we will accept cancellation with a full refund of all sums paid.

Where production has already begun, we reserve the right to retain the deposit to cover reasonable costs and labour already incurred. We will not retain an amount exceeding our actual costs to date. If costs incurred are less than the deposit paid, the difference will be refunded to you.

Modifications: Customised orders cannot be altered once production has started. Please ensure all specifications (size, metal, engraving, design) are confirmed before approval.

Manufacturing failure: In the unlikely event that a ring cannot be manufactured for any reason, you will receive a full refund of all sums paid, including the deposit.

7
Clause Seven Liability

We never exclude: Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (c) any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Allergies & Material Sensitivity

All ring materials are clearly stated in our product descriptions. If you have a known metal allergy or sensitivity, please review material specifications before ordering. If in doubt, seek medical advice prior to purchase. Castle Jewellery Ltd cannot accept liability for reactions arising where material information was provided but not reviewed.

Wear, Tear & Scratching

All rings — regardless of material — are subject to scratching and everyday wear over time. This is a natural characteristic of all jewellery and is not a manufacturing defect. Normal wear and tear is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Customers are informed of this at the point of sale.

Ring Comfort & Wearability

It is your responsibility to assess your own comfort when wearing a ring. Castle Jewellery Ltd is not liable for general discomfort arising from ring-wearing, nor for decisions about when or whether to wear your ring.

8
Clause Eight Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If You Have a Complaint
  • Contact us first at sales@castle-jewellery.com — we aim to resolve all concerns quickly and fairly.
  • If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may contact Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards office.
  • You may also refer your dispute to an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme.
  • Online disputes may be submitted via the EU/UK Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
9
Clause Nine Changes to These Terms

Castle Jewellery Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms with reasonable notice. The version of these Terms in effect at the time of your order will govern that transaction. We recommend checking this page periodically.
